Process
A structured yet fluid process ensures every project receives the attention and rigor it deserves — from first brief to final handover.
Concept
2–4 weeksWe begin by deeply understanding your vision, needs, and context. Site analysis, client interviews, and initial sketches shape the conceptual direction.
Planning
4–8 weeksFrom concept, we develop schematic designs, spatial programs, and preliminary engineering coordination to establish the project's technical foundations.
Design
6–12 weeksThe design is refined across all scales — from the overall massing down to the smallest detail. Technical drawings and specifications are produced for permits.
Execution
6–24 monthsWe oversee construction administration, ensuring every detail is executed to specification. On-site supervision ensures the design vision is faithfully realized.

Founded in Lisbon in 2009, NovaBuild Studio has grown from a two-person practice to a 37-strong team working across residential, commercial, and urban scales.
Our offices in Lisbon, Berlin, and São Paulo allow us to serve clients globally while maintaining the intimate attention to detail of a boutique practice. We are architects, strategists, and storytellers united by an obsession with the built environment.
